Elizabeth Ramsey graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stetson University Honors' Program and holds a J.D. from Rutgers University-Newark. Elizabeth began her career in Brooklyn, New York where she served as an Assistant Public Defender to Legal Aid Criminal Defense Division for six years. Prior to moving to Florida, Elizabeth was in private practice and certified as capital counsel during New York State's brief adoption of the death penalty. Since 2003, Elizabeth has been an Assistant Public Defender with PD-15 where the majority of her practice has been devoted to Major Crimes and death penalty litigation. Currently the Chief of Serious Crimes, Elizabeth is licensed to practice in the State of Florida, New York, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the Eastern District of New York. In her off time, Elizabeth fosters kittens for Bella's Promise and raises chickens!
